The Light

So dark… So cold…
Shrouded in darkness, from what I know…
Why am I here?  What had I done?
What’s going on?  I can’t see!
Please just let me out of here!

What’s that in sight?  Is that a light?
At first glance, it looks like so.
Why can’t I walk, why can’t I run…
How am I supposed to go?
Please just let me out of here!

The light…  It’s shining brighter…
So warm… This feeling continues to grow…
So much like basking in the sun…
Let it consume me…
Please just let me out of here!

The light consumes me more!
The feeling is wonderful!  I’m becoming… numb…
Oh no…  This isn’t what I want…
No no no no…
Don’t let me go!
Please!  I don’t want to die!
